Latin name llamk'apuy

Hi Aliman Runa I think that the name "Chincha chawkatu" is incorret because this kind of bird dont exist in Peru, Bolivia or Ecuator, this bird is a northamerican native specie, not southamerican; you can see that in spanish wikipedia this article is named with its respective name in latin, not in spanish.Rafaelkelvin 01:52 15 awr 2011 (UTC)Responder

The standard in the Spanish Wikipedia is to use scientific names as article names for every article on biological species. That is different to the English or this Wikipedia, where the scientific name is ued only if there is no Qhichwa name. But there are some Qhichwa names for species not native to the Qhichwa language area, see examples as misti luwichu for antelope. Mimus polyglottos is not native to Souht America, therefore it is called "northern mockingbird" (chincha chawkatu) in Qhichwa. Chawkatu is generic for mockingbirds, it makes no sense to use it for just one species. -- AlimanRunawillaway 14:16 15 awr 2011 (UTC)Responder
Hi again, well, i saw that "Mimus polyglottos" redirect to "Chincha chawkatu", and if exist a name to this specie, i guess that all is correct, well job Aliman Runa.–Rafaelkelvin 04:25 16 awr 2011 (UTC)Responder
