As previously discussed, I wanted to come up with a finalized list of country names that the Quechua Wikipedia can permanently use. [[Bolivia]] alone has seen a myriad number of changes (Bulibya, Wuliwya, Puliwya), and I was hoping to get feedback from native Quechua speakers about methods and standards for transcribing into Quechua. I think getting pronounceable Quechua names for all countries would provide a solid base for future pages, and it's important to have some agreement before the Wiki expands too much. Plus, since there seems to be few existing guidelines for transcribing into Quechua or constructing neologisms, this presents the Quechua Wikipedia (and its community of native speakers) with an opportunity to develop and implement standards of its own.
For the time being, I converted my user page to a workspace, and I would appreciate it if you (or anyone else that is interested) give me some feedback on what is there so far. I have only reached the B's, since I don't have much time to work on it, but already I've encountered some recurring issues, like voiced obstruents and consonant clusters. If you know any other users who may be interested, please let them know as well. Thank you for your help!
